MARGINALIZATION OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC GROUPS

Abstract: 

This article is a result of study aiming at identifying several determinant factors that influence directly and indirectly of a poverty process and the implications towards poverty. The study focused on the onthology of socio-economic group which is accidently marginalized or marginalized themselves. However, during the process of data collecting, it was found that there were several head of the families being marginalized even deprived. The researchers succeeded in recording their life portrait through community study based on ethnography, history and comparison. It revealed that 20 families who were born and raised in the area dwell on other people’s land. They cultivate the land on the area owned by Pondok Pesantren Gontor. Moreover, it was found that some families have worked as rotan worker for generations to fulfill their daily necessities
